These are all the events, collabs, and launches you need to know about
March was another brilliant month at FDD International; from brand events and celebrity collabs to website launches, it’s been a busy one! Alongside brilliant brand activity, our team has been thriving too- we’d like to say a big congratulations to Danni Khalique, our Haircare Category Manager, on completing her BSc Social Psychology Degree and for running the Brighton Marathon!
Now, let’s delve into all the fun bits from the month- we’re talking social posts, celeb collabs, events, and more!
Growth Bomb at Boots HQ!
In the last week of March, our Marketing and Haircare team headed to Boots HQ in Nottingham for a Growth Bomb event. With flyers equipped with QR codes, banners, and product samples in hand, the team set out to convert Boots HQ staff into loyal Growth Bomb customers! Made to strengthen and smooth hair from root-to-end, Growth Bomb is an Australian brand focused on providing a scalp-focused hair care routine infused with Yerba Mate; a plant-based ingredient full of energy and rich in antioxidants. With queues through the building and stalls out of stock in just 20 minutes, the event was a massive success!
Vegan, eco-friendly, and backed by impressive results, this brand is ready to take the UK by storm and we couldn’t be more excited!

Face Halo at the CEW awards!
Another eco-friendly newcomer, Face Halo is a fan-favourite here at FDD International. With a variety of colours and sizes available, Face Halo makeup remover pads use special fibre technology to remove makeup- no extra product needed, just a drop of water! Replacing up to 2000 disposable cotton rounds, Face Halo Bamboo Rounds are the latest addition to the Face Halo family and our Head of Marketing, Ruth Morgan-Evans, was delighted to attend the CEW awards to support the brand in their entry. The awards recognise the ‘Best in Class’ launches of the year, plus tried and tested iconic products, across various categories and Face Halo Bamboo Rounds were entered into the Best New Beauty Tool or Accessory category. Winners will be announced on the 30th of June so we’ve all got our fingers crossed- watch this space!
Time to celebrate: RapidLash website launch
Celebrations were in order last month as we launched the new RapidLash UK website; a long-standing FDD icon, RapidLash now has a new home and it’s full of fancy features that make for a smooth and joyful shopping experience. From more payment methods for an easier transaction to a subscribe and save subscription plan that allows customers to receive RapidLash products at a chosen frequency and a blog to discuss all things beauty and more, the bespoke website has been designed to create a sense of community and to make the purchase process as seamless as possible. Check it out here.
Ardell reaches new audiences
Ardell is often repped by gorgeous influencers and inspiring beauty bloggers but March brought about the ultimate collaboration… Lizzo x Ardell! Lizzo is a modern beauty icon and an incredible performer with a huge fan base. We sent a selection of Ardell lashes to the singer’s hotel for her MUAs to use on her while she toured the UK. Alexx Mayo, Lizzo’s MUA and an Instagram king, used Ardell Wispies 700 in a beautiful starry look and shared the picture to his 49,000+ followers, tagging Ardell and using #ArdellBeauty- we were beyond excited!
Ardell has also secured a place in Condor Ferries’ duty-free shops- Ardell X-Tended Wear (a long-wear lash kit) and Ardell Brow Lamination kits will be available to buy when travelling to and from France and the Channel Islands on any of the 3 Condor Ferries boats- the biggest of which can carry 850 passengers!

High coverage month for Camille Rose
Camille Rose, backed and founded by Janell Stephens, is the biggest Black-owned, female-led haircare brand and it’s been great seeing it thrive in the UK. Leading with natural ingredients, the brand had a very busy month in March, featuring at events and awards and receiving brilliant retailer activity!
Curl Love Moisture Milk, a softening leave-in conditioning cream, was the brand’s star of the show at the Sainsburys Beauty Event. With an influencer reach of over 430k and highly influential creators such as Candice Brathwaite in attendance, the event showcased various products, including the Camille Rose Moisture Milk!
Camille Rose was also favoured highly by another retailer in March: Look Fantastic! The brand was featured in the company’s Healthy Hair campaign and in their Curly Hair box across the UK and Europe.
All in all, it was a great month for FDD and its brands and we can’t wait to see what else is to come in the next months- keep your eyes peeled for more updates and blog posts!
